Following a request by members at our AGM in May, the decision was made to hold a mid-summer garden party at my home in Clarborough on the 13th July. Thirty five folk turned up as the invitation was also open to the Retford u3a Military History Group as well. We had a number of Probus members attend with their wives which was lovely as the event had a dual purpose. The first was to give us, as a group, a chance to meet in an informal manner and the second was a chance for my two daughters and I to say thank you for all the support you have given me following Kate’s death in April. Five members came along with their wives and it was appreciated that they came. It was a successful event and one that we hope can be repeated next year.
