Retford Men’s Probus Club has been running since 1971. Our meetings take place at the Westhill Community Centre, Ordsall at 10.00am every other Friday.
Well let’s start with wishing everyone a Happy New Year!
We had some great speakers in 2016 and are now looking forward to an exciting 2017. The autumn speakers were full of interest. Ann Hobbs, well what can I say, Trevor Dempsey, collecting autographs and Ian Morgan posing an interesting legal debate.
I know its mid winter, but look at the speakers Dennis Beevers has lined up for us. In January Chris Hollis talking about ‘A Year in the Woods’, Robert Mee discussing Vic Hallam and Andy Smart, with his ‘Long Hair and Muddy Boots’.
Then a long term date for the diary. Dennis has arranged a visit to the Guy Gibson Museum at RAF Scampton in June. More information on this trip will follow, but it will be a great opportunity to take friends and guests. Numbers will be restricted so when announced, remember first come first served.
We are always looking to introduce new members to Retford Men’s Probus Club. We do have a strong spirit of friendship, and look forward to the New Year with great optimism. Gentlemen, have a look at our web site, and if you are interested in coming along one Friday morning to see us, just e-mail Dennis Beevers, our secretary, on firstname.lastname@example.org and he will give you more information.
